What Is Our Purpose?
The purpose of the student chapter is to branch the "understanding gap" between perspectives and methods as it is seen and performed in the industry, compared to how it's learned in the collegiate / academic world. By doing this, our students will develop a more realistic understanding of how the industry operates while learning how to maximize the knowledge and concepts learned in the classroom. The ABC, through various events such as student competitions, monthly networking events, jobsite visits and potential scholarships & fellowships, allows great exposure for us students to actively participate with alumni, leaders in the industry, faculty and many more...
What Is Our Vision?
Our vision starts with achieving academic excellence, which is vital to achieving our purpose. We strive to remain highly competitive amongst our peers by establishing a dominate presence in Florida, the Southeast and the Nation. We want to utilize all the tools around us to gain the knowledge & experience necessary to be successful as professionals. We hope to instill the values and ideas of the ABC into our members. We hope to develop the leaders of our generation.
How Are We Sucessful?
Our success is mainly driven by our members' ambitions to improve their skills individually while dedicating themselves to improve the chapter as a whole through various forms of teamwork. We also rely on direction and support from various sources including ABC Central Florida & National offices, UCF faculty and local industry members who actively work with us to always make sure we can further improve ourselves.
